Insurance of passengers entering Iran

In traveling, one of the most important things to do is travel insurance. In traveling to Iran, there are several companies offering insurance, which covers travelers who travel to the Islamic Republic of Iran. If the insured, during the validity period of this insurance, suffers from an illness or physical injury resulting from an incident or a mandatory medical quarantine is required, the insurer shall be obliged to organize the following services and pay the related costs.

A) Transfer

1- Acceptance and transfer of the insured to the nearest hospital or equipped medical facilities at the shortest possible time.
2- Transfer the insured in cases of urgency with the opinion of the doctor to provide more accessible facilities as soon as possible.
3- Returning the insured to his or her country according to the physician’s opinion and the approval of the trustee’s physician if, after being treated locally, the insured person’s condition prevents him from returning as a normal traveler.
4- Performing necessary measures in case of death of the insured for the transfer of the body to the nearest airport of the country of residence.
5- To take measures to restore the insured persons under the age of 15 years and one of the relatives of the insured person to the country if the insured person does not have the ability to continue to travel with a personal vehicle or a vehicle used at the beginning of the journey.
6. Carry out the necessary measures to transfer an insured people from the insured country to Iran if the insured is admitted to the hospital due to an accident or illness covered by this insurance and needs medical treatment according to the physician’s opinion.

B) payment of expenses

1.  Medical and hospital cost up to 10,000 euros or its equivalent per share based on the exchange rate of the currency specified in the insurance certificate, based on the medical certificate, on the urgent need for treatment during the coverage period (after the deduction of non-hospital medical expenses), as follows will be:
1-1. Medical expenses include initial visits and imaging and laboratory services, pharmaceutical costs, outpatient surgeries, physiotherapy and the transmission of injured patients and patients to relevant medical centers due to accidents.
2-1. Medical expenses due to hospitalization and surgery in hospital and daycare limited daycare centers (more than 6 hours admitted).

2. Non-medical expenses will be paid as follows:
1-2. Conventional charges for the provision of the coffin and the transfer of the deceased’s insured body to the nearest international airport of his place of residence in the country of origin or place of residence (the costs of holding the funeral and burial in the insurer’s liability).

2-2. If the insured is admitted to the hospital due to an accident or illness subject to this insurance, and according to the opinion of a physician and requires the approval of a trusted physician, the standard travel expenses of one of the relatives of the insured person from the place of location The insured stay will be paid to the place of admission as well as the cost of staying in Iran for up to 20 days.
2-3. The usual cost of the unexpected return of the insured due to injuries or acute medical illness if he cannot use the return ticket.
4-2. Conventional costs for the return of insured persons under the age of 15 years and one of his relatives to the country of origin or place of residence if they are not able to travel with a person’s vehicle or vehicle used at the beginning of the journey.
5-2. Dental costs up to 200 Euro. These costs are limited to toothache treatment, infection treatment, and tooth extraction.
6-2. Costs to provide important travel documents such as passports, driving licenses or consular documents in the event of loss of relevant documents up to 200 euros.
7-2. The costs of legal assistance up to a maximum of 250 Euros in claims filed during a stay in Iran against the insured.
