Qeshm is an Iranian island in the Strait of Hormuz, and is separated from the mainland by the Clarence/Khuran Strait in the Persian Gulf. Qeshm Island is located a few kilometers off the southern coast of Iran (Persian Gulf), opposite the port towns of Bandar Abbas and Bandar Khamir. The island, which has 300 square kilometers of free zone jurisdiction, is 135 kilometers long and is strategically located in the Strait of Hormuz, just 60 kilometers from the Omani port of Khasab and the Emirati port of Rashid United Arab Emirates about 180 km.
